Bat found in Lexington tests positive for rabies

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department has confirmed that a bat found near Berea Road and the Kentucky Horse Park tested positive for rabies this week.

The bat was found and collected outside a home on Monday; no pets or people were exposed to the bat, according to the health department.
