LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A new report from Gov. Andy Beshear’s administration shows serious crime is down across Kentucky, but local anti-crime organizations and law enforcement say the commonwealth still has more work to do.
‘One is too many’
Terry Dumphord, founder of the Voyage Movement, a nonprofit in central Kentucky, said he is encouraged by the governor’s report but believes significant work remains.
“I mean you know we get caught up on numbers being down and crime down and murders down but there is still loss of life,” Dumphord said.
