LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – The attorney for Fayette County Public Schools’ former budget director has amended her complaint against the district.
Attorney Brandon Voelker said his client, Ann Sampson Grimes, had her pay reduced recently, prompting the addition of compensatory damages and a reinstatement request to the complaint.
What the amended complaint says
In the amended filing, Voelker wrote that Grimes’s reassignment was “nothing more than a facade for a demotion,” describing it as being removed from an administrative position for less compensation. The complaint states that Grimes “has a legitimate interest in continued employment in her position.”…
