WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) – One year ago Friday, Reacheal Dawson was found dead in a Winchester motel room — a case that would expand into a multi-county investigation linking one man to the deaths of three women.
Dawson told her family she would be right back before leaving their Estill County home for the last time on June 26, 2025. Her family tracked her phone to the Red Roof Inn in Winchester, where she was found unresponsive in a room rented by Brian Epperson — a man her friends and family said they did not recognize.
“We’re not for sure if they even knew each other,” said Kayeeka Dawson, Reacheal Dawson’s sister.
Toxicology and charges
Dawson’s toxicology report found she had more than 14,000 nanograms of meth per milliliter of blood in her system — far exceeding the amount found in a typical overdose. Her family said she had never used drugs…
