Fayette County Public Schools and the University of Kentucky have been dinged for violating the Kentucky Open Records Act in recent cases, the Kentucky Attorney General’s office said in rulings Wednesday.
The University of Kentucky violated the Kentucky Open Records Act in three separate cases, the attorney general found, when it denied one request for records by wrongly saying it was unreasonably burdensome, denied another request for video footage from its law enforcement unit, and by wrong redacting material from a report in a third request.
