LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — What began as a step toward recovery ended in tragedy for a Lexington father of two who reportedly died days after checking into a luxury rehab center in California.
Jimmie Sizemore, 47, was an outgoing entrepreneur who enjoyed cruising on his motorcycle, fishing, and country music. Family attorneys said that he traveled to California to seek treatment for addiction to alcohol, benzodiazepines, and hydrocodone.
“Jimmie had a way of making everyone feel like they mattered,” his wife, Ronda Sizemore, said. “He had the biggest heart and a personality that made him stand out from the pack. We’re grateful for the memories and the impact he had on so many lives, but we’re also heartbroken. He loved his family more than anything, especially our boys, and he worked so hard to take care of the people he loved.”
