Savannah Bananas set to draw crowds to Haymarket Park, Memorial Stadium

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Savannah Bananas are bringing their high-energy brand of Banana Ball to Lincoln this week, with two sold-out games scheduled as part of the team’s 2026 Banana Ball World Tour.

The Bananas, currently ranked No. 2 in the Banana Ball Championship League, will face the No. 6-ranked Firefighters in a pair of games. The first matchup is set for Thursday at Haymarket Park, with first pitch at 7 p.m. The teams will meet again Saturday at Memorial Stadium, also at 7 p.m.

The dual stop in Lincoln was announced in October 2025 and marks one of the most anticipated events of the summer. At the time of the announcement, Nebraska Director of Athletics Troy Dannen said the Savannah Bananas had consistently been mentioned by fans as a show they wanted to see in Memorial Stadium…
