Osborn Turns in 12,500 Signatures to Secure Spot on Nebraska Senate Ballot

LINCOLN, NEB — Independent U.S. Senate candidate Dan Osborn on Thursday submitted roughly 12,500 petition signatures in Lincoln, clearing what his campaign says is the threshold needed to qualify for Nebraska’s 2026 ballot, pending state verification.

Osborn turned in the signatures at Cornhusker Office Plaza in downtown Lincoln after delivering brief remarks to supporters. Campaign officials said the total exceeds the required number for ballot access, though it must still be certified by state election officials.

“Today is a huge milestone, a chapter on one part of the campaign on being able to get on the ballot so when people cast their vote in 2026, I’ll be an option for people to vote for,” Osborn said…
