LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A man was sentenced to prison for injuring two in a fiery crash on O Street on Thursday.
Jayden Blake, 20, of Lincoln, was sentenced to two counts of second-degree assault and operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, and faces at least 22 years and at most 32 years in prison.
Blake had previously killed someone while driving on Sept. 21, 2023, and was on probation when the O Street crash had occurred.
On Nov. 23, 2024, a Lincoln Police officer attempted to pull over the driver of a Dodge Charger speeding recklessly with the engine revving loudly near 84th and O streets. But authorities said Blake, who was behind the wheel, sped off westbound on O Street. The officer did not pursue him due to safety concerns…
