LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A former parent–teacher association treasurer and her husband are facing felony theft charges after police said more than $30,000 was stolen from two local nonprofits.
Police said 36-year-old Valerie Craig and 48-year-old Thomas Craig turned themselves in on Wednesday. Both are accused of two counts of theft.
Police said around $22,514 was taken from the Meadow Lane PTA in the last two years. Investigators believe another $10,910 was taken from Lincoln Nerd Fest, where Valerie also served as treasurer…
