Humanities Nebraska (HN) is seeking nominations for the annual Sower Award in the Humanities, which recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the public understanding of the humanities in Nebraska. The nomination deadline is June 12.
The Sower Award will be presented prior to the 31st annual Governor’s Lecture in the Humanities, which will be held Oct. 27, 2026, at the Lied Center for Performing Arts in Lincoln. Featuring author Nathaniel Philbrick, the program will focus on Revolutionary War history in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
