Saturday, September 12, there’s a very low risk of a few strong to severe storms. Damaging wind gusts and hail are the primary severe hazards. Lightning and heavy rainfall are also hazards associated with showers and storms that pop up on Saturday.
This is mainly from midday into the evening. Not everyone will experience rain or storms; they’ll be isolated.
Some of this risk is dependent on morning storms in parts of northwestern Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. These morning storms may make the environment less able to support storm development, but weak outflow boundaries ahead of these storms are likely to serve as ignition points for shower and storm development in the afternoon and evening in Arkansas.
This threat ends early Saturday night. Then, a drier pattern is likely into next week. Tiny rain chances return midweek next week, with a frontal system possible late next week. This is far out in forecasting time, so check back for updated information leading up to this next system.
