SHANNON HILLS, Ark. — A 15-year-old girl was airlifted to a hospital after a teenager with a learner’s permit accidentally drove a vehicle into a Shannon Hills home, pinning her against a wall while she was watching television. The driver and his father were uninjured in the crash. Read more below.
According to Shannon Hills Police Chief Allen Spears, the young driver was out practicing driving with his father when the incident occurred. While stopped at a stop sign, the driver mistook the gas pedal for the brake pedal and accelerated directly into the residence, according to Chief Spears.
The vehicle crashed into the house and trapped the teenage girl inside.
