‘There’s really nothing more that we can do’ | Denver car wash questions water restrictions

DENVER — A Denver car wash known for recycling most of its water is now being asked to cut back even more under Denver Water’s new drought restrictions.

The owner of Gleam Car Wash near Tennyson Street said the business already reuses about 90% of the water from each wash, making it difficult to reduce consumption much further.

“It would be very difficult for Gleam to cut our water use significantly because we have already voluntarily cut our water use so much relative to any other car wash in Colorado or relative to the country,” owner Emilie Baratta said…
