Another wave of California studio closures hits popular fitness brand

SoulCycle has closed at least three California locations this month.

The once-popular cycling studio shuttered its Walnut Creek, La Jolla and Manhattan Beach spaces, sending emails to customers informing them of the abrupt closures in early June, several outlets reported. Calls to the locations by SFGATE went unanswered, and there are no classes bookable online at those spots.

This isn’t the first wave of SoulCycle closures for California. In 2022, the fitness company cut around 25% of its studios nationwide, including spots in San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood, San Jose, Beverly Hills, Newport Beach and Del Mar…
