Atwater Village—A person was killed and another person suffered major injuries today in a two-vehicle crash on the 5 Freeway, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 8:25 a.m. Saturday on the northbound freeway at the Los Feliz Boulevard off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It involved a black sedan and a gray van, the CHP said. Firefighters at the scene extracted three people from a vehicle. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and paramedics rushed another person, with major injuries, to a hospital, the CHP said…
