Southern California residents could see a mix of elevated fire danger, gusty winds and dangerous ocean conditions through Monday, according to a new briefing from the National Weather Service.
Forecasters said moderate to locally strong winds are expected across interior sections of Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, bringing an increased risk of active grass fires and hazardous driving conditions.
The National Weather Service said west-to-northwest winds between 15 and 30 mph, with gusts reaching 35 to 50 mph, are expected Sunday into Monday across valleys, mountains and desert areas.
