LOS ANGELES – A new City Controller dashboard is putting more than a decade of rental complaints and code violations into one public database – and several Westside properties have racked up hundreds of violations on record.
The tool, built from Los Angeles Housing Department data, tracks Rent Stabilization Ordinance complaints, Just Cause Ordinance cases, and building code violations from December 2013 through November 2025. The Controller’s Office said the dashboard was created to help tenants, advocates, and public officials identify buildings with repeated documented problems and push for stronger enforcement and repairs.
