Nearly 260,000 Los Angeles County residents could lose their food stamps under new state and federal rules that went into effect Monday requiring certain people to work to keep their benefits.The county estimates 108,000 residents, including more than 10 thousand immigrants, have already lost food stamps since President Donald Trump signed a Republican megabill in July that slashed federal funding for food assistance and health care programs.
