A bomb threat from an extremist group known to law enforcement prompted a major emergency response at a Southern California hospital Friday morning, with police securing the campus and emergency traffic temporarily diverted.
The threat against Huntington Hospital in Pasadena was called in around 5:49 a.m., according to Pasadena city spokesperson Lisa Derderian. K-9 teams, police officers and firefighters responded and worked to clear buildings.
The hospital was later given the all clear Friday morning, Derderian said, and no injuries were reported.
Pasadena police later said the area around California Boulevard between Pasadena Avenue and Fair Oaks Avenue was clear and reopened, with no further police activity and no action required from the public…
