West Hollywood Man Accused of Animal Cruelty Arrested Again on Elder Abuse Charge

The West Hollywood man who was previously charged with felony animal cruelty after witnesses accused him of abusing an elderly Chihuahua has been arrested again, this time on suspicion of abusing an elder or dependent adult, according to Los Angeles County jail records.

Richard William Caamano, 55, was arrested Aug. 8 by deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s West Hollywood Station. Jail records list the booking location as the West Hollywood Station and show a charge under California Penal Code 368(b)(1), described in the record as involving harm or death to an elder or dependent adult.

The booking record lists Caamano as being held on $0 bail. Additional details about the circumstances surrounding the latest arrest were not immediately available. Neighbors say the sheriff’s have been called to that address several times in the past week…
