A new Hyroad hydrogen refueling station is now operating in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., providing fuel access for hydrogen-powered commercial trucking fleets in the region. The mobile station completed 45 fueling transactions during its first full week of operation, according to Hyroad Energy.
Hyroad deployed the liquid hydrogen mobile refueling station at Tom’s Truck Center in Santa Fe Springs. The unit was supplied by Taylor-Wharton, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air Water America.
Mobile Station Adds Hydrogen Fueling Capacity
The mobile system combines a 1,000-kilogram liquid hydrogen tank, pump, dispenser, controls, and safety systems into a single package. Hyroad said the mobile design allows the company to bring hydrogen fueling capacity online while permanent stations are developed and constructed.
