At least one person was injured after a car smashed into the back of a big rig on the northbound 5 Freeway in Sylmar on Monday afternoon.
Sky5’s Gil Leyvas was over the scene at 3 p.m. just before Roxford Street, where he reported the driver had been extricated from the car.
The big rig appears to have been parked on the side of the freeway when the vehicle slammed into its rear end.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital in serious to critical condition. No details were shared about if the driver of the big rig suffered any injuries in the crash…
