Suspects walk out of L.A. County Guitar Center with high-end equipment

Investigators are asking the public for help identifying two grand theft suspects who walked out of a Guitar Center store in Westlake Village last month without paying.

The incident occurred on July 31, when the suspects approached a store employee and requested to view several high-end items, including an Akai Professional MPC XL Standalone Production Station and a Sennheiser XSW IEM Wireless In-Ear Monitoring System, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced Thursday.

“When the employee retrieved another requested item from the rear storage area, the suspects exited the store with the unpaid merchandise,” the Sheriff’s Department said.

Investigators did not disclose the value of the stolen merchandise. However, the equipment identified by authorities retails for about $3,000 based on current pricing from online music equipment retailers…
