The family of a man accused of a hit-and-run involving a Los Angeles Police Department officer on Friday night spoke exclusively to KTLA on Saturday morning.
The crash occurred while the LAPD officer was investigating a separate incident around 7:48 p.m. Friday near the 13500 block of Foothill Boulevard in Sylmar. A department spokesperson confirmed that the officer was hit by a passing vehicle and suffered multiple serious injuries, but he was later said to be in stable condition.
