Venice Man Claims Malicious Prosecution in Santa Monica Bar Manager’s Death

SANTA MONICA – A Venice resident who was once charged in the death of a Santa Monica bar manager is suing Los Angeles County and the city, alleging malicious prosecution, civil rights violations and defamation.

The lawsuit, filed Friday in Santa Monica Superior Court, seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.
