Two fatal police shootings involving Black men have produced sharply different outcomes under Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman: a renewed second-degree murder prosecution in the killing of Brendon Glenn and the dismissal of voluntary manslaughter charges in the killing of Christopher De’Andre Mitchell.
During a recent news conference, Hochman defended both decisions as the results of separate reviews of the evidence and applicable law.
