Prosecutors are considering whether to file criminal charges against a man who LA County Sheriff’s detectives suspect once owned a pair of military hand grenades blamed for the explosion that took the lives of three deputies last summer in East Los Angeles.
The man, who has not been publicly named as a suspect or arrested, is believed by investigators to have possessed the grenades when he lived at an apartment complex in Santa Monica several years ago, several law enforcement sources told NBCLA.
