Man in grave condition airlifted from Runyon Canyon trail

A man in his 40s was airlifted from a hiking trail in the Hollywood Hills on Sunday morning after suffering a medical emergency in Runyon Canyon, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The incident was reported around 9:17 a.m. near 1900 North Runyon Canyon Road in the Runyon Canyon Park area, the LAFD confirmed.

Officials said the hiker was in grave condition as firefighters and paramedics rendered emergency medical care on the trail.
