LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The trial of two men accused of shooting and killing a JCPS student in 2021 continued Tuesday with text messages being shown to the court.
Demaurion Moore and Mekhi Cable are on trial for the murder of Tyree Smith, who was gunned down in a drive-by shooting on at a bus stop in 2021 when he was 16.
Tuesday, text messages between Cable and somebody else were shown to the court. Cable said “f**k em” when he found out where Smith was from. Cable’s attorney argued that the text messages make it seem like he was involved in gang and tried to get them thrown out…
