For the past month-and-a-half, the Clark County Health Department has been operating its syringe services program at a new location and with shortened hours, in response to requirements in state legislation passed this year.
One of the changes is that programs need permission to be within 1,000 feet of buildings such as schools or places of worship to distribute or exchange syringes.
