Ford eyeing major $2B expansion at Louisville truck plant, Beshear says

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Ford Motor Company is considering a potential $2 billion investment to expand operations at Louisville’s Kentucky Truck Plant.

In his weekly Team Kentucky update Thursday, Gov. Andy Beshear said the company is evaluating a strategic investment that would expand manufacturing operations at the plant on Chamberlain Lane, including development of approximately 70 acres adjacent to the existing plant — land Ford purchased in April 2025 for $41 million.
