Suspect in robbery of auto parts store arrested

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville Metro police have arrested a suspect in the robbery of an auto parts store in southern Jefferson County.

The suspect, Elijah Jones, 24, of Louisville, is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a robbery and driving with a suspected or revoked license.

The robbery happened around 12:24 p.m. June 24 at the AutoZone in the 8200 block of Preston Highway. The arrest citation says Jones attempted to leave the store with merchandise he hadn’t paid for.
