Pursuit Spirits has announced its first-ever collaboration with Meat Church BBQ: Pursuit x Meat Church Honey Hog Barrel Bourbon, a honey-finished bourbon created specifically to pair with smoked meats.
To create Pursuit x Meat Church Honey Hog Barrel Bourbon, a proprietary blend of Bardstown Bourbon Co. barrels (78% corn, 10% rye, 12% malted barley) and Tennessee bourbon barrels (80% corn, 10% rye, 10% malted barley) was finished for three months in barrels coated with Burleson’s Texas Wildflower Honey.
Bottled at 105 proof (52.5% ABV), Pursuit x Meat Church Honey Hog Barrel Bourbon is described as having a palate that “plays out like baklava in a glass, coating the mouth with complex layers of pastry and nuts, with a viscous finish that brings a powerful rush of baking spices intentionally dialed up to cut through heavy smoke and fat.”…
