LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A transitional housing program in Louisville is closing after losing critical funding, leaving advocates concerned about what the loss of Arthur Street Hotel will mean for people experiencing homelessness as heat index values climb into the triple digits this week.
Since 2022, Arthur Street Hotel has helped more than 400 people find permanent housing. About 15 people remain at the hotel, and staff members are now working through a 30-day push to find permanent housing for those still there.
