LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A Louisville pastor charged with forging a deed to transfer a property to himself appeared in court Wednesday.
James Cuff was charged in June with forging a deed to transfer a property belonging to Mary Matthews to himself. Property records show the land at the center of the case once belonged to Cuff’s church, which sold it to Matthews in 2021 — with Cuff acting as the church’s power of attorney.
Records show Cuff and Matthews exchanged at least two other properties, and those transactions may also be under investigation…
