Louisville mom raising awareness about distracted driving after losing daughter in accident

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A mother who lost her daughter in a car accident back in 2022 has spent almost four years trying to make a change at the state level when it comes to distracted driving laws.

While she is working to change state laws, she is now working on something she thinks she can do a little bit sooner.

The Commonwealth Attorney’s office sent Alyssa Burns’ lawyer a letter back in 2024, saying they would not prosecute the other driver in the crash that killed almost two-year-old Camberleigh Burns…
