Three Louisville one-way streets will be converted for two-way traffic beginning Oct. 7, Mayor Craig Greenberg and officials from the Louisville Department of Transportation announced Sept. 29.
The conversions for Chestnut Street, River Park Drive and Muhammad Ali Boulevard will extend west from Ninth Street to Southwestern Parkway (Chestnut Street becomes River Park Drive at 28th Street). Crews working on the two-way conversions will start by removing existing markings at Ninth Street before continuing west, officials said in a Sept. 29 news release. The new two-way markings will be added to each roadway one side at a time, beginning with the north side.
