Louisville officers intercept counterfeit jewelry shipment worth $14 million

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Louisville recently seized a package full of counterfeit jewelry, which would have been worth millions, had the goods been genuine.

The shipment, which arrived was Hong Kong and was headed to Chicago, was stopped in Louisville on May 1, 2026.

Inside the package, officers found 1,227 bracelets and 395 necklaces which appeared identical to well-known luxury jewelry brands, specifically: Cartier, Tiffany, and Van Cleef and Arpels.

Though the pieces were almost exact replicas of their famous brands’ designs, CBP officers suspected the jewelry pieces to be counterfeit and detained them for further review…
