Louisville police requesting community aid in animal cruelty case

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) – The Louisville Metro Police Department released a request for public assistance in animal cruelty case.

Police say a husky named Sammie was found April 28 in Iroquois Park near the golf course and suffering severe injuries after abandonment. She was inside a black garbage bag, and twine was wrapped around her muzzle.

Sammie attempted to free herself and a golf course worker tried to help, but her injuries were so severe that she ultimately had to be put down…
