Work expected to begin May 25 on I-64 bridge maintenance from 2nd Street to Sherman Minton Bridge

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Construction is scheduled to start soon on Interstate 64 from downtown Louisville west to the Sherman Minton Bridge.

The project includes “preventative maintenance” on the I-64 bridges along the Ohio River.

Work includes steel and joint repairs, concrete patching, new drainage and the addition of a protective coating on bridge driving surfaces, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
