WOLFFORTH, Texas — The City of Wolfforth has taken a major step toward building what leaders hope will become the city’s first true downtown district.
The Wolfforth Economic Development Corporation recently purchased approximately 46 acres of land for about $4.6 million, creating space for a future mixed-use development.
Lubbock ISD to host Board of Trustees meeting Thursday, July 23
City Manager Randy Criswell said the vision has existed for years, but officials now have both the land and the financial resources to move forward.
Plans include restaurants, retail shops, apartments or townhomes. Public gathering spaces and a new City Hall would serve as the development’s anchor.
