Lubbock County commissioners pass non-binding resolution seeking more authority over large scale development

LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock County commissioners passed a non-binding resolution Monday calling for greater transparency from large-scale industrial developments, including potential data centers.

The resolution calls for developers to disclose expected water and electricity use, infrastructure impacts and other potential effects on the community. It also calls for bonding requirements to help address cleanup costs if a development closes.
