If you haven’t been following the recruitment of 2027 5-Star DL Jalen Brewster then you’ve missed an absolute roller coaster. While Texas Tech has maintained that they were confident that Jalen Brewster would remain committed to Texas Tech, it seemed like there was a new report every week that questioned if the Red Raiders could retain the commitment of the number one recruit in the nation.
Brewster is a ridiculous prospect who projects to have the level of impact that Lee Hunter provided. In his Junior season at Cedar Hill he played all across the DL at both interior defensive tackle and out on the edge. He also played wildcat quarterback. Yes, the 6-foot-3 300 pound brute was taking snaps and barreling into the defense. Terrifying.
