LUBBOCK, Texas — The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is currently on scene in the 5100 block of 19th Street for a report of a collision with injuries involving a pedestrian on Saturday, May 9.
Officers were initially called to the scene at 7:47 a.m. The pedestrian had serious injuries and was transported to UMC, where they were later pronounced dead.
According to LDP officials, initial information indicates a vehicle was traveling west in the right lane when the pedestrian stepped into the roadway and was struck.
