LUBBOCK, Texas — Every Texan is required to get their car registration sticker renewed yearly, so local John Kyle did just that.
But Kyle said he was taken aback when he got his vehicle registration renewal notice in the mail and noticed a remaining charge.
“The reason the inspection replacement fee of $7.50 was added to my tag bill. That’s what we used to pay the businesses to get a safety sticker. It’s not the amount; it’s the principle of how they went about and did it.”” Kyle said.
