MONONA, Wis.— Monona police deployed a grappler device to arrest a driver in a high-speed chase on Sunday.
Monona police said it observed two vehicles racing and driving recklessly along Highway 51. A traffic stop was attempted on one of the vehicles, and tire deflation devices were deployed during the pursuit, but the suspect vehicle avoided them and continued to drive away from officers.
The suspect’s vehicle eventually turned west onto East Broadway, reportedly striking a curb in the process, but continued at a high rate of speed. An MOPD officer used the grappler device to end the pursuit…
