MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Over 500,000 sunflowers are in bloom at Eugster’s Farm, where visitors are once again flocking to the Stoughton tourist-destination for it’s annual Sunflower Days.
This year’s bloom arrived about a week earlier than usual, meaning some extra work behind the scenes. Recent dry weather prompted the fourth-generation family farm to irrigate the sunflower field to keep the blooms healthy.
“Four days ago on this field we irrigated it, Director of Operations Jacob Eugster said, ”if we hadn’t done that or not sure that it would be quite as pretty as it is now.”…
