MADISON, Wis. — Several streets will close in and around downtown Madison for IRONMAN events next weekend.
The IRONMAN 70.3 Wisconsin (half triathlon) will take place on Saturday, and the IRONMAN Wisconsin (full triathlon) will take place on Sunday. Both events begin with a swim in Lake Monona, followed by a bicycle course extending into western Dane County and a run course through Madison.
Motorists should expect significant travel impacts along the race routes throughout the weekend. Police and race officials will maintain local access across the routes when possible during gaps between athletes. Through traffic will not be permitted to cross active portions of the racecourse…
