South-central Wisconsin bridal legend Vera Stillmank has died at 96, leaving behind a nearly six decade legacy in what she called the “business of love.”
Vera, who was the owner of Vera’s House of Bridals in Madison, WI, spent 60 years helping brides find the perfect gown for their big days. Her granddaughter Jennifer Kapinus tells WKOW that there was something magical about watching Vera work with brides, even up into her 90s.
“This cute little gray-haired lady, still wearing heels into her 90s, [would] come up to a bride shopping and be like, ‘I know just what you need,’” Kapinus told the outlet…
